John Jerome (Jerry) Weigel, age 79 years at New Orleans, LA on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 10:30 PM. Husband of the late Barbara LaPorte Weigel. Mother of Lynn Weigel, John J. (Jay) Weigel Jr. (Gigi) and Guy Edward Weigel all of New Orleans, LA and the late Leslie Ann W. Mazzei. Brother of the late Marion W. Ryan. Grandfather of Ashlie Bucenec of Seattle, WA, Paige Mazzei of San Diego, CA, Spencer Mazzei of Metairie, LA, Jay Hendrix Weigel and T. J. Mooney, both of New Orleans, LA. Also survived by four great grandchildren. Mr. Weigel was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans and a retired Senior Partner of Jones –Walker Law Firm.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church, 2030 Constance Street, on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit at the church after 9:30 AM. Interment will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
