Jorge Alberto Garcia, age 74, of Westwego, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He is preceded in death by his mother, the late Rosaura Del Carmen Garcia. He is survived by the true love of his life, Agustina Garcia. And his children, Rosa Garcia (Roberto), and Elvis Garcia (Traci), grandchildren, Andrew Alberto Garcia, Gabryela Yessenia Pincay, and Marissa Madeline Pincay, brothers, Victor Manuel Garcia, Hector Gustavo Garcia, sister, Gretty Maria Lagos, and an aunt, Aurora Davis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jorge was a parishioner at Holy Guardian Angels Church. He loved reading, and working in his garden, and enjoyed being outside, and talking with his neighbors. He had a passion for Chinese food and pistachio ice cream. He never met a stranger. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held for Jorge on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana followed by a Funeral Mass at 7:00 p.m. Please consider a donation in his honor in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
