Josephine Bivona

Josephine “Maw Maw B” Palermo Bivona passed away quietly on September 26, 2013 at the age of 89. She was a native of Hammond, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late Bernard “Bennie” Bivona. Loving mother of Joseph S. “Butch” Bivona. Mother-in-law of the late Suzanne D. Bivona. Loving and devoted grandmother of Joey Bivona (Erin Bivona) and Scott Bivona (Melissa Feliciana Bivona). Josephine is also survived by her great granddaughter; Brice Bivona, her great grandson; Cullen Bivona, her step great grandson; Logan Crowley, and her step great granddaughter; Madelyn Crowley. Sister of Rose Pennino, and the late Mary Prescia, Frank Palermo, Bessie Palermo, Jake Palermo, Joseph Palermo, Sr., Pauline Martino, Antoinette Bravata and Conchetta “Connie” Waguespack Palermo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again Monday, September 30, 2013 from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
