Josie J. Hoffman

Josephine June Hoffman, born in New Orleans March 18, 1936 was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus on March 6, 2017. Preceded in death by her parents Frank Paul Schiro, Sr. and Clara Nye Schiro, her husband Frannie J. Hoffman, and siblings Virginia Schiro Bechtel, Shirley Schiro, and Jack Schiro. Her surviving siblings: Frank P. Schiro, Jr. (Pat), Elaine Schiro Cangelosi (Sam), Roy Schiro, Joseph Schiro (Cheryl). She was the loving mother of Linda Ehren Prats (Ray), Sheila Ehren Englert (Craig) and Karen Hoffman Breath (Ronnie). Adored by her grandchildren Trey Prats (Lacey), Christian Prats (Lauren), Stu Schayot, and Erin Schayot. Step grandchildren Jeff Englert (Rachel), and Kelly Englert. And her precious great grandchildren Oliver, Sam David, Eli, Dylan and Graham.

Affectionately known as “Josie” and “Maw Maw Jo Jo”, she loved spending time with family and “just a little taste” of all foods. Her presence will be certainly missed leaving a big void in all hearts, but her family is reassured she is Walking on Streets of Gold with her King. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday afternoon, March 9, 2017 beginning at 12:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
