Karl McNeill Hansen Sr.

Karl McNeill Hansen, Sr., age 92, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012. Beloved husband of Mary Zimmermann Hansen. Survived by his 4 daughters, Kathryn Lorentzson (Julius), Margaret “Peggy” H. Austin (Charles), Jane H. Morgan (Tim), and Elizabeth H. Laird (Michael); his 2 sons, Karl M. Hansen, Jr. (Terri) and John Michael Hansen (Ann); his sister, Frances Jeanne Hansen; 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A native of Thomasville, GA and a resident of Harahan, LA. Karl graduated from the University of Florida College of Architecture in Building Construction. Karl was a pilot for the US Navy. He was a member of the Military Order of World Wars and the Reserve Officers Association.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
