Ken Boudreaux, of Metairie, Louisiana, went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and many of his dear friends from Celebration Church. Ken was born on October 16, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Left behind to cherish his beautiful memory is the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Julie McCoy Boudreaux, to whom he was married for 46 years, his precious daughter, Katie McCoy Boudreaux and his favorite and only sister, Terry Elizabeth Boudreaux.
Ken received a BS degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and was a CPA. He retired from Celebration Church after many years as their Business Manager and served as a Deacon and Life Group Leader.
Anyone who knew Ken would say that his greatest joy was to share the hope he had found in knowing Jesus. Throughout his life, Ken befriended countless people, discipled many men, and shared his faith with virtually everyone he met. Because of his commitment to sharing his faith, many businesspersons, physicians and others came to know Jesus.
He had a winsome personality and was known to tell more than his share of corny dad jokes. He loved to lift people’s spirits by singing, especially about the Lord. Soft-spoken and always smiling, people were naturally drawn to his kindness and gentleness. Ken sought to live his life in a manner worthy of the Lord saying, “You have done well. You are a good and faithful servant…Come and share my joy.” Matthew 25:21
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Juanita Boudreaux of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend his “Celebration of Life” service on Saturday, July 23rd at Celebration Church, 2001 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and the service will begin at 10:30 AM. There will be a reception immediately following the service. Interment will be at a later date. The online guestbook is available at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
