Kevin David Bass Sr.

Kevin David Bass Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 30, 2016 surrounded by family and the loving staff of Chateau Living Center and St. Catherine’s Hospice. He was 62 years old. Loving father of Sophia Bass, Kevin David Bass Jr. (Nicole), Nicole Bass, Karen Bass, Elizabeth Bass, Shannon Bass (Misty), and Shelly Everett. Grandfather of Cameron Bass, Aliyah Nelson, Izabell Bass, Mitchell Bass, Destiny Bass, Dustin Everett, Taylor Everett, Austin Everett brother of Patrick Bass, Sr. (Debbie), Brien Bass, Kathy Bass, Cindy Bass, the late Sonny Bass, Timmy Bass, Marylee Bass, and Limbo Bass. Son of the late Claude and Elsie Rodriguez Bass. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Kevin was a native of New Orleans and received his U.S. Merchant Marine Document from Houston Marine. He was employed with Tidewater Marine for many years. Kevin was a talented craftsman who enjoyed carving model boats, deep sea fishing, and crabbing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday morning, September 3, 2016 at 11:30.
