Kirk Thomas Plaisance

Kirk Thomas Plaisance was born on July 15th, 1971 and chose to end his suffering on October 6th, 2017. He was a welder and sheet metal mechanic by trade but his true joy in life was spending time outdoors with family and friends. He was an avid animal lover who had a great knowledge of local wildlife. Although he had his struggles, he will be remembered for his positive outlook and warm personality. He is proceeded in death by his loving mother, Barbara Ford Plaisance. He is survived by his father, Jerry Thomas Plaisance, his brothers Danny Plaisance (Lori), Eric Plaisance (Christina), sister, Dawn Caple (Daniel), and former spouse, Tina Noel. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Kirk’s family would like to sincerely thank all those that aided in his search and offered support and prayers during this difficult time. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, January 10th at 5:00 PM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 6851 River Rd., Waggaman, followed by a reception in the church activity center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kirk’s name to National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or a local animal shelter.
