

SIEGEL, Lawrence Frederick (Larry, Sonny, “Moo”) passed away on Friday, the 4th of October, 2024 at Laketown Village Assisted Living Center in Kenner, LA. He had just celebrated his 84th birthday the previous week. He had been receiving care from Passages Hospice for congestive heart failure.
Larry was born in New Orleans to Alma (Fleckinger) and Lawrence C. Siegel on September 24th, 1940. After graduating from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans, he attended Mississippi State University, from which he earned his BS in Business.
In 1963, Larry married Carolyn Grace, who he leaves behind after 61 years of marriage. Together, they had two daughters: Patricia “Tricia” (Alan Ratliff) and Amy (Dan Hauck). He was Papa to one granddaughter, Vivian Hauck.
Larry’s career in sales allowed him to combine business with his passion for travel. It took him throughout the United States and Canada. His career moved him and his family to Nashville, TN and St. Louis MO, but he could not stay away from New Orleans, and they returned in 1973. Larry remained in New Orleans for the rest of his life. He retired from Window World in 2022, after 18 years of service. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Kenner, and served as President from 2014 – 2016.
Larry’s family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by the staff of Passages Hospice and Laketown Village.
Larry’s life will be celebrated at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veteran’s Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006, on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00.
