

Leola Lambert Lobell, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 9:30 PM surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lobell was a native of French Settlement, LA and was a resident of Metairie, LA for the past 67 years. Beloved wife of the late Herman J. Lobell. Mother of Gerald J. Lobell (Debbie), Linda L. Taormina, Samuel P. Lobell and Donald J. Lobell (Cheryl). Grandmother of Leslie T. Franz (Lenny), Michelle T. Branighan (Michael), Christopher J. Lobell and Michael G. Lobell (Carol). Great grandmother of Grace C. Franz and Olivia and Benjamin Branighan. Sister of Marietta L. Lambert and the late Helen L. Faucheaux, Camille L. Pitcher and Henry Lambert, Jr. Daughter of the late Henry Lambert, Sr. and Ella Guitreau Lambert. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lobell was a parishioner of St. Philip Neri Church and was a former parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was very devoted to her family. Mrs. Lobell’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Jessica and Jennifer from East Jefferson General Hospital and to Regina from Canon Hospice for being such special angels. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday morning, July 6, 2013 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
