Lois G. Kaveski

Lois Gravois Kaveski entered into eternal life on September 25, 2011 at the age of 87 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born Lois Marie Gravois, July 30, 1924, in New Orleans, LA to the late Anne Lydia Benoit and Joseph Seraphin Gravois. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, C. Walter Kaveski, whom she met at a USO dance during WWII. Beloved mother of Lynne Meyers, Anne Guajardo, Peggy Kaveski-Hoffmann (deceased), Mary Hollinger (husband Charles), John Kaveski, and Joseph Kaveski (wife Anne). Survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by sisters Lita Rooney and Rosemary Machado, and brothers Wilford Gravois and Edward Gravois. She was a resident of River Ridge for 21 years.

Lois had a deep abiding faith in Jesus and lived her life following His ways and serving others. She was a true and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Kenner, LA on Monday October 3, 2011. Visitation at 10:30 am with Mass following at 11:30 am. Internment will follow at the Garden of Memories Chapel of Peace. Condolences may be offered at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
