Louis Joseph Develle Jr.

Louis Joseph “Jay” Develle, Jr., age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Beloved husband of Iris Oubre Develle for 67 years. Loving father of Jocelyn D. Guarisco (Jerry), Louis Joseph Develle, III (FeeFee), Mary D. Genovese (Terry) and Lydia D. Economides (George). Best friend and brother of Eda D. Meyer (Late, Louis). Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA since 1968. Louis was a World War II veteran and was a dedicated member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary, the North Bridgedale Civic Association and the Marine Corps League. He routinely visited the Manresa House of Retreats in Convent, LA. He was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church for 45 years and retired from Equitable Life Insurance as a life insurance agent for more than 50 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until Mass time. Interment will be private.
