Louis Alonzo Fury, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 surrounded by his family. Beloved father of Zachary and Lisa Fury, son of Maria Fury, and brother of Andrew and Tony Fury. Also survived by a host of cherished in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Louis was preceded in death by his loving wife Joan Niette Fury, sister Carmen Fury Mauterer, and father Andrew Fury, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Metairie and an employee of Grinell and Merit fire protection companies. Avid sportsmen, storyteller, and life of the party, Louis will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will remain in our hearts always.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment will be private.
