

Louis E. Sparks Jr. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from complications of dementia. Louis was born in New Orleans, La and was a resident of Marrero, La for over 47 years. He had many loves over the years, electronics, fixing automobiles, video games, and movies. Louis’ greatest loves however were his wife Judith, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and pets. Louis was a good-natured man with a big heart, he loved a good joke and good times with family and friends. He was blessed with and survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith E. Pike and his three children, Nikhole Killian (Brian), Jennifer, and Christon Sparks. He was the proud grandfather of Kierstin and Elise Hurt (Dominick), Emily Killian, Brennan Sparks (Kay) and Hayden Sparks, and Regan and Alexis Boudreaux, as well as the great-grandfather of Lilliana Hurt and Iris Boudreaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis E. Sparks Sr. and Evelyn LeBlanc Sparks; his sister, Debra A. Sparks and a grandson, Tyler A. Boudreaux.
Friends, family, VA Hospital New Orleans, NOPD, and JPSO coworkers who knew Louis are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM - 11AM with a service to begin at 11AM. Interment will follow at the Valence St. Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
