Mrs. Louise DeLess Jesse

Louise D. Jesse passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the age of 90. She was a former resident of Harahan, LA for 50 years, resided in Baton Rouge, LA for the last 4 years and was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 21, 1920. She is survived by two sons, Glen E. Jesse and wife Carol and Ronald K. Jesse and wife, Elizabeth. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Erin Slayter and her husband, Aaron of Alexandria, LA, Rebecca Jesse of Memphis, TN and Kate Jesse of Germantown, TN; four great grandchildren, Marlee, Olivia and Andrew Slayter and Zachary Molner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile K. Jesse; her parents, Anton DeLess and Ella Koenig DeLess; her sisters, Elenor Lore and Anna Mae Spaulding and her brother, A.J. “Buddy” DeLess. Mrs. Jesse served on active duty in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a former parishioner of St. Rita Church in Harahan, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday morning, November 13, 2010 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s Chapel. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.
