Lucille "Lucy" Harris Casey

Lucille Harris Casey, lovingly known as "Lucy" to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025. She was born in West Virginia, on March 14, 1954, and spent her childhood in Sanford, Florida. Lucy later made her home in Metairie, Louisiana, where she built a beautiful life raising her family.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernestine Reynolds Harris and Harold Francis Harris. She is survived by her twin sister, Camille Harris Collins, and her three children who were the pride and joy of her life: Melissa Casey Ory (Robert), Amy Casey, and Daniel Casey Jr. (Brittany).

To her grandchildren, Lucy was simply "Honey" — a name that captured her sweet and loving spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Carter Ory, Addison Ory, Harris Ory, Hazel Ory, Dominic Ory, Olivia Caldarera, Ashley Caldarera, Joey Brue, Patrick Brue, Savannah Brue, Bret Rivers, Charlotte Casey, and Benjamin Casey, along with her dear friend Dave and many other friends and family members who will miss her dearly.

Lucy's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the compassionate staff at SummerHouse Ashton Manor Assisted Living in Luling. The care and kindness shown to Lucy will always be remembered with gratitude.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road in Destrehan, LA on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
