Lucille Buckel Farmer

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Farmer Jr., their son, Joseph Farmer, her parents, Andrew Buckel Sr. and Lucille Buckel, brothers, William, Robert, and Alan Buckel, and nephew, Bret Buckel.

She is survived by her brothers, Andrew “Andy” Buckel Jr. (Lynne) and Edward “Little Eddie” Buckel Sr. (Darby), niece and loving caretaker for the past 7 years, Beverly Brocato (Roy), her beloved dog, Missy, and sister-in-law, Alma Corona, as well as 6 nieces, 12 nephews, and many other relatives.

As the oldest of 6 children and the only daughter, Lucille was a devoted caregiver to her family and loved spending time with them. She was also a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Metairie.

Lucille’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Ashton Manor and Hospice Specialists of Louisiana for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM – 11AM with a funeral Mass to begin at 11AM. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
