Lucille C. Rachel

Lucille C. Rachel, age 90, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Vernon P. Rachel. Loving mother of Evette R. Thatcher (Lee) and the late Karen R. Coatney (Doyle). Proud grandmother of Wade Landry, Matthew Landry, Melissa Thatcher and Cyrus Thatcher. Great grandmother of Hayley and Avery Landry and Maxsym Kosogof. Daughter of the late Claude and Anna Dumond Chauvin. Sister of Margaret Wright and the late Adela Trosclair and Claudia Wood. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other family and friends.

Lou was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be offered to the Susan G.
