Margaret W. Blue, age 94, was called home to be with the Lord joining her husband David and several family members on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Beloved wife of the late David R. Blue, Sr. Treasured mother of Robert Blue, Margaret “Maggie” Smith, Gerald “Jerry” Blue (Katie), Melinda “Lindy” Storey (Joe) and the late David “Dusty” Blue, Jr. and Melissia Blue. Loving grandmother of Sherry Estay, Kelly Whitaker (Philip), Carl Smith (Rhonda), Jill Mace Rose ( Casey), Mariah Blue (Cory), Jessica Blue, Christine Sumrall (Josh) and the late Wendy Blue. Great grandmother of David Balderas (Sarah), Michael Estay, Forrest Blue, Bella Blue, Khloe Rose, Scott Smith, Chris Smith, Robert Smith, Alexis Brown, Hallie Brown and Luna Sumrall. Great great grandmother of Juan David Balderas. Sister of the late Florence Kramer, Bea Ferry and Joyce Wagner. Daughter of the late Peter Wagner and Edna Dowsey Wagner. Also survived by her beloved canary, Pretty Boy. Mrs. Blue was a native of Wagner, Wisconsin. She was a resident of Harahan, LA and a parishioner of St. Rita Church for 61 years. Mrs. Blue was a very devout Christian. She loved her family and all children. Her heart and home was open to everyone. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday morning, November 28, 2015 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel at 11:00 AM.
