Mrs. Marie Davis "Ree Ree" Gallagher

Marie Davis “Ree Ree” Gallagher passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Gallagher, Sr. Loving mother of William “Bill” Gallagher, Jr. (Lynn), Michael Gallagher, Sr. (Donna), Thomas Gallagher (Nancy), Patricia “Tricia” Greene (Ken), Margie Riches, Eileen Ruhlman (John), Therese Napolitano (Jeff), and Dennis Gallagher (Melissa). Sister of the late Claude Herring, Betty Migliaccio, C.V. Davis, Jr., Jack Davis and Jimmy Davis. Preceded in death by her mother Marie Russell Davis and daughter of the late Mai Davis and C.V. Davis, Sr. “Mimi” of 30 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Gallagher was an active faithful Parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister, member of the Bereavement Committee, Adoration Chapel Coordinator, and various other organizations within the church, and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Aged 79 years. A native of Memphis, TN and a resident of the city of Harahan, LA for the past 50 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans, Blvd., Metairie, on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Saturday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7118 Jefferson Hwy., Harahan, after 11:00 am until Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon.
