Marie Mary Tassin

Marie Mary Silvy Tassin passed away at Twin Oaks Rehab Center on Tuesday May 21, 2013. Beloved wife of Gerald E. Tassin after 45 years of Sacred Marriage. Loving mother of Sharlee Marie Tassin-Meyer (and husband, Jarrod). Devoted grandmother of Amber Elizabeth Tassin-Meyer. Daughter of the late Anna Dalmer and John Silvy Sr. Mrs. Tassin was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and is survived by 1 brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She enjoyed Bingo, Professional Wrestling and socializing at the Council of the Aged and as a graduate of Edith Heslan Dance School, also enjoyed Ballet Dancing and spending time with her grand daughter. She will be loved and remembered by all who knew her. Aged 77 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Laplace, Louisiana for the past 11 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Friday afternoon May 24, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening May 23, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday.
