Marilee M Landry

Marilee Messina Landry, age 85 years, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at her home. Beloved wife of the late Walter A. Landry for 65 years. Mother of Linda Melinie (Roland), Philip Landry (Becky) and Glenn Landry (Sandy). Grandmother of Jeremy Shall (Cherie), Julie Cerise (Paul), Joshua Landry (Cassidy) and Kate Shaum (Corey). She is also survived by a sister, Lois Sasser (Jim) and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Antoinette Messina. She was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA, a parishioner of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, a volunteer with EJ Elder Advantage for many years, and a member of the Red Hat organization.

The family would like to offer special thanks to her devoted caregivers, Minnie Claborn, Katie Burrell, Sandra Vappie, Jessie Jasmin, and Dawnelle Smith.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
