Marlene Stacy Culpepper

Marlene Stacy Culpepper passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 20, 2021. She was 81 years old born on June 13, 1940, in New Orleans, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Harold Warren Stacy and Barbara Inez Gallagher Stacy. Marlene graduated St. Mary’s Dominican High School in New Orleans and attended Delgado and UNO in Credit Management. She retired after almost 40 yrs. from Arrow/Sysco Foods as Credit Manager, which she received several national awards and recognitions as Top National Credit Manager and was on the Board of the National and Louisiana associations of Credit Managers. She enjoyed dancing, traveling especially cruising, her time downtown during Mardi Gras and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Pam Stacy Delord (Bob) niece Stacy Delord Helm (Joey), Robby Delord (Melissa) and her four children, Maureen Gilbert-Brown (Shannon), Colleen Trapani (Jay), James Culpepper (Paula), and Erin Pamplin (Billy). Also survived by eight grandchildren, PJ Triche (Danielle), Gary Allen Commander (Dayne), Caitlin Gagliano (Kenny), Tyler Trapani, Tayler Trapani, Kalina Dee, Corey Culpepper and Cassity Pamplin and seven great-grandchildren, and five step grandchildren Christopher Trapani (Esin), Evan Trapani (Gina), Erin Trapani Waldrum (Josh), Lesley Brown and Jared Brown.

The family would like to express their appreciation, gratitude and support the Fidelis House gave in taking great care of mom. We would like to thank the care givers, Michelle Robert-Duffy (Director), Judy Robert (Director), Michelle Frank (Manager), Lakita, Pat, Gertrude, Lisha, Michelle, Vernetta and Ari.

Services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie, LA on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
