Mary Pancamo Borges

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Mary Pancamo Borges, who went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2025. Mary was a woman of deep faith, immense warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Allen Manuel Borges, with whom she shared a lifetime of laughter, love, and partnership. Mary was also predeceased by her cherished parents, Lena Tripoli Pancamo, and Russell Pancamo; as well as her dear brother, Aurelius “Ray” Pancamo.

A faithful Christian, Mary found great comfort in prayer and never let a day pass without saying her rosary. Her joy for life shone brightly at the card table - whether playing poker or any kind of card game, Mary brought both a competitive spirit and a contagious smile.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her daughters; Connie Rodgers (Randy) and Donna Lauro (wife of the late Frank Lauro). She was a proud and loving grandmother to; Stephanie Rodgers Robbins (Ryan), Stacey Rodgers Griffin (Chris), Kelly Lauro, and Frank Allen Lauro (deceased). Her great-grandchildren will always remember their “Mawmaw” with love; Brandon, Blake, Kyle, and Ethan Robbins; Megan and Mackenzie Griffin; Stella and Campbell Mallary.

Mary will be missed more than words can express, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation from 9 - 11 am followed by a mass at 11am. Interment will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Highway, Metairie, Louisiana.
