Mary Catherine Crites Ferguson, age 92, entered into Heaven on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Charles Walter “Fergie” Ferguson, Sr. Mother of Rebecca Harwell (James T. Harwell), Charles Walter Ferguson, Jr. (Ouida Moody Ferguson), George Thomas Ferguson and Catherine Mary Harrell (James E. Harrell). Grandmother of Lance E. Harwell (Wimol Harwell), Brent C. Harwell, Wendy F. Castillo (Air Force Master Sergeant Walter E. Castillo), Air Force Staff Sergeant Adam P. Latta (Christina Latta), Shelly F. Martin (Terry M. Martin), Alesha A. Scott (Jason Scott) and John C. Harrell (Heidi Harrell). Great grandmother of Chad M. Harwell, Air Force Senior Airman Daniel C. Castillo, Kyle Castillo, Carly Castillo, Michael Burkett, Colston Burkett, Dylan Scott, Zoey Latta, Tanner Martin, Army Specialist Dillon Fischer, Brayden C. Harrell, Baby Martin and Baby Latta. Great great grandmother of Catlan Charles Hoodless. Daughter of the late George William Crites and Tabitha Lee Johnson Crites. Sister of Cleo Zane Buntyn and the late George W. Crites, II. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Tampa, FL and was a resident of Metairie, LA. Mrs. Ferguson was a real estate agent, retiring at age 80 from Century 21 Larry Trunk Reality. She was a member of the Million Dollar Club, Memorial Baptist Church, American Legion Post 175 Ladies Auxiliary and was very active in the community and several organizations. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday morning, February 18, 2015 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
