Mary Rose Payne Jacques “Melrose” passed away and went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday December 7, 2013. Born March 15, 1926 in New Orleans she was the daughter of the late George and Julia Payne. Wife of the late Charles G. Jacques, Jr. Survived by her children, Charles G. Jacques, III, Sharon Jacques and husband Luis Cruz Azaceta and Glenn Jacques. Sister of the late Lillian Birdsall, Claire Ryan, Rita Doyle, Rowena Steinert, Mildred Hoffman and Mamie Thomas. Grandmother of Emile Cruz and Dylan Cruz. The family would like to thank John S. Morvant and the nurses and staff at St. Anthony’s Nursing home for their excellent care.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 11:30am.
