Melissa lived a life filled with cherished memories and lasting friendships and was a woman devoted to her family. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She took great pleasure in spoiling and spending time with them whenever she could, whether it was going to Saints games with her children, cooking together in the kitchen or just spending time with her grandkids teaching them about football or just sitting down to color with them. Her heart was always with her family. Her love for them was boundless and will remain a comforting legacy in their lives.

She is survived by her parents, Brenda Rando and Freddie Adams; her siblings, Catherine and Freddie; her children, Joel Adams (Danyelle Ladner) and Caleb Mizell (Kailey Rosier) and her grandchildren: Landen Roark, Logan Ladner, Lucien Ladner, Annabella Howard, Weston Adams and soon to be born, baby Mizell who will carry forward her love, kindness and compassion.

As Melissa joins her departed loved ones in eternal rest, we will celebrate a loving, kind-hearted soul who touched the hearts of many throughout her lifetime. We will hold her close within our hearts where she will remain to walk with us throughout our lives until the day we meet again.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00 am at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. She will be interred at a later date in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
