Michael Victor Barthelemy

Michael Victor Barthelemy passed away at home at the age of 58 on June 7, 2022. He found his soul mate and life partner when he was 28 and has been married to the love of his life Kerri Barthelemy for 24 years. They enjoyed 30 years of being together and living life to the fullest. Michael was the son of the late Raymond and Gwendolyn Barthelemy. He was a loving Dad to Tanya Lemoine (Joseph) and Adam Seghers (Faith). Poppa Bear to his grandchildren Katelyn Seghers, Jordan Lemoine, Joey Lemoine, Joshua Seghers, Jasmine Seghers and great grandson Elliot Escobar. Brother of Anthony Barthelemy (Carolyn) and nephew to Anthony Phillips. He is survived by many relatives.

Michael was part owner of Barthelemy Heating and Air Conditioning along with his father for many years. He was a member of the Merchant Marines and visited many countries during his time. He continued his career in life as a Chief Building Engineer throughout the New Orleans area.

He loved hunting, fishing, cooking and all things involving science fiction. He truly enjoyed doing everything with his wife from traveling, eating out, going to the movies, even just staying home and everything in between. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was very proud of each one of them. He loved telling us his stories of everything he had done in his and he had lots of them. He also had a special place in his heart for Brad Bergeron and Dewayne Bateman whom he thought of as his own children. His smile, laugh and his love will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday June 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a memorial service in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel at 5:00 PM.
