Michael J. DeMarco Sr.

Michael J. DeMarco, Sr. departed to join his heavenly father on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the age of 79. Loving companion of Diane Legrand . Former husband of the late Lois A. DeMarco. Father of Paula D. Stoulig, Daniel A. DeMarco and the late Michael J. DeMarco, Jr. Son of the late Angelina Laforte Centanni and stepson of Paul Centanni, Sr. Brother of Paul Centanni, Jr. Also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Stepfather of Nicole Johnson, Christine Delatte and Jacque Legrand, Jr.

Mr. DeMarco worked in the produce business for 62 years. He was a loyal and devoted employee of Bubba’s Produce and was affectionately known as “Mike the Tomato Man”. His family and profession was his pride and joy.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be private in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
