Naomi Louise Lawrence Batte, age 94, entered into rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Mrs. Batte was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Metairie, LA and was a resident of Wilsonville, OR for the past 3 years. Beloved wife of the late Ezra Batte. Mother of Robert E. Batte (wife, Sandra), Celia A. Batte, Ezra Batte (wife, Patty) and the late Douglas E. Batte (surviving wife, Denise). Sister of Lloyd Lawrence (wife, Doris). Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Preceded in death by her parents, George William Lawrence and Beulah Green Lawrence and by 6 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Batte was a retired auditor for the IRS and was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted family person, and friend, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, January 21, 2017 beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
