Nelly Solis

Nelly Valerio Solis, age 103, born in Diriamba, Nicaragua C.A. on March 30, 1909. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 28, 2012. She passed peacefully at River Regions Hospice Facility in River Ridge, LA surrounded by her daughter and loving family. Mama Nelly is preceded in death by her loving husband Julio C. Solis. Mama Nelly is survived by her only daughter Dora V. Garcia, four grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mama Nelly will be remembered for the love she had for God, her family, her friends and also for her talents as a seamstress.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
