Nolan Joseph Leger Sr.

Nolan Joseph Leger, Sr., age 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather (Pawzie). He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Nolan was the beloved husband of the late Ethylena “Bip” Leger for 60 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Cheryl Diamond (Ricky), Deborah Soileau (Randy), and Nolan J. Leger, Jr. (Cody). Proud grandfather of Thomas Diamond (Alison), Kayla Cyrier (late Jonathan Boucvalt), Sarah Raziano (Nick), Elizabeth Brogle (Donovon), Abigail Freibert (Roger III), Aaron Diamond (Alexis) and the late Austin Leger. Great-grandfather of Colten and Cameryn Diamond, Emorie and Cam Cyrier, Riley and Chase Raziano, Roger Freibert IV and Parker Brogle. Brother of Leatrice Leger. Also survived by other family members and friends.

Nolan retired from Saybolt after 46 years. He was honorably discharged from the Air National Guard of Louisiana. He loved making jigsaw puzzles and watching his grandchildren play sports. His main joy in life was loving and spending time with his family. His presence will truly be missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie on August 10, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. and continue until the time of service. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum, 4841 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA.
