Patricia Wallace Untereiner

Patricia Wallace Untereiner, born in Brookhaven, MS on November 18, 1944 to the late George Clinton Wallace and Mary Magdalene Jackson Wallace, passed away peacefully at her home in Metairie, LA on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the age of 81. In 1962, Patricia moved from Meadville, MS to New Orleans, LA to work for Bellsouth Telephone Co. In 1967, she began to date her future husband, Joseph Peter Untereiner, whom she married on June 21, 1969. She continued to work for Bellsouth until 1973 when her family began. She became a dedicated and loving mother and homemaker until her passing.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Peter Untereiner; her parents, George and Mary Magdalene Wallace; and her siblings, Jerry Wallace, Billie Sue Ratcliff, Connie Lynn Wallace, Gloria Walters, JoNell Dorsey (Peter), Regenia Etheridge, and Rickey Van Wallace.

Survivors include her loving children, Joseph Darren Untereiner (Bridget) and Leah Paige Batt (Brian); her grandchildren, Blake Leo, Caleb Untereiner, Rori Kelly, and Avery Batt; her siblings, Carolyn Wallace, Danny Wallace (Diane), Jocelyn Etheridge (Vander), and Debbi Smith (Larone); her sister-in-law, Bess Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
