Patrick William Thompson

Patrick William Thompson, age 68, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014. Mr. Thompson was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Chalmette, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA since Hurricane Katrina. Beloved husband of Josephine “Josie” Musmeci Thompson for 48 years. Father of Paige E. Thompson Glass (husband, Sean M. who was like a son to Mr. Thompson). Grandfather “Paddy” of Kelcey Elizabeth Glass and Erin Patricia Glass. Brother of Keith M. Thompson (wife, Gayann) and the late Kenneth Beck (wife, Ann) and Sharon A. Rome (husband, the late Harold). Son of the late Patrick O. Thompson and Clara Jean Beck. Brother-in-law of Catherine M. Musmeci, Santa M. Houghton (husband, Nestor) and Michael J. Musmeci, Jr. Preceded in death by C.J. Simoneaux (wife, Lisa) who was like a brother to Mr. Thompson. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Thompson was the owner of Paige Maritime Agency, Inc. for 23 years. He was on the Board of Operation Merry Christmas, was a member of the Krewe of Mid City for 20 years, was a member of Verns Golf Club and had served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Thompson was an avid golfer. He loved sports and was thrilled to see the Saints win the Super Bowl. He had a great sense of humor, loved traveling, loved his wife’s cooking and deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Thompson’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire Willhoft family for their love and support throughout the years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Monday November 3, 2014 beginning at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz- Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
