Ralph Paul Bodenheimer

Ralph Bodenheimer, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters. Loving father of Suzette Mayville (Tommy), Rhonda Dantin (Kirk), and Cheri Burns (Matt). Paw Paw Cookie to T.J. Mayville, Tiffani Mayville Asbill (Jason), Natalie Burns Clark (James), Ryan Burns, Taylor Dantin, Chadd Burns, Reese Dantin, Claire Dantin. Great grandpaw of Sadie, Autumn, and Cooper. Survived by his sisters Mary Marino, Gloria Martin, Carolyn Smith, Rita Kropog, and Dianne Beaver. Brothers Elwood, Raymond, and Lloyd Bodenheimer. Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Odell Bodenheimer and Brothers Billy and Harold Jr Bodenheimer. Loving Stepfather of Lydia Roberts (Eric) and Step Grandfather of Mallory Roberts. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was loving and kind. He was a school bus driver who loved working with people and especially loved teaching children. A hardworking man, who knew the value of a dollar. He had many friends that enjoyed his company over coffee and donuts at the Dunkin Donuts on Veterans. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of ARCH House and Peristyle Richland House. Friends and Relatives are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Christopher Catholic Church located at 309 Manson Ave in Metairie on Friday July 31, 2015 at 1pm. Visitation to begin at 11. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .
