Raymond Joseph Chauvin

Raymond J. Chauvin, age 86, of Metairie, LA passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Raymond was born in New Orleans on September 24, 1938 to Edwin Chauvin and Ruth Lally Chauvin. Raymond was a loyal Domilise's Bar customer and one day in 1969, Mrs. Dot Domilise asked him to join the staff as the Bartender. He worked diligently for 6 days a week from open until close. He was faithful, dedicated, honest, and dependable to Domilise's and their clientele. After working behind the bar for 45 years, he continued to work in all aspects of operations for the last 8 years, until he retired in 2022 after 53 dedicated years.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his siblings, Edwin Chauvin, Jr. and Jeanne Chauvin Campbell.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Allen Chauvin (Audrey) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Ruth Chauvin Bersuder of Metairie, LA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a catholic memorial service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
