Raymond B. Grab, Jr. died peacefully at home in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was 81. Ray was born in New Orleans on May 23, 1942 and lived in Metairie the past 56 years. He served his country in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge in August of 1965. He retired after many years from United Cab Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond B. Grab, Sr.; his mother, Elsie Callahan Grab and his youngest brother, Louie. Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elsie Frachtling Grab; two sons, Jeffrey and Jason; his daughter, Julie; three grandchildren, Michael, Corrine and Braxton all of whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph; his sisters, Shirley Arseneaux, Patricia Preau, Linda and their families. A private visitation and Memorial Mass will be held in his honor at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cypress Grove Cemetery at a later date.
