It’s been 6 months . Happy birthday my Love.

Held a crawfish boil on Good Friday for years and Fish was as excited or more than anyone. He always brought extra mushrooms for the boil because he believed, and I agree, that they needed to put more mushrooms in.  I enjoyed having him there and eating crawfish for hours. And will
always think of him when I have boiled  crawfish and mushrooms.

I met Fish many many years ago. I love Zuppardo’s grocery store and would go there very often back then.  My last name is Fish. I had gone into the store and I was in the back by the meat department and there was a message over the loudspeaker for Fish to come to the front and I thought to myself how do they know I’m here so I walked to the front and there was Fish  standing there and I said they paged  for me? He said no I’m Fish so I told him that my last name is Fish! I told him that  I thought they needed me for something and we both started laughing. That’s how we met and from that point on I looked forward to seeing him every time I went to Zuppardo’s and now that’s every Friday. He would always Bring my  groceries out to my car for me. he was the nicest, sweetest person you could ever meet! I was so shocked when I found out that he had passed away!  I knew he was having health issues, but I didn’t ever think he’d have a heart attack!I pray  For him every day,  always have, and will continue to do so. I will definitely miss him! I will think of him every time I walk into Zuppardo’s. Richard, thanks for all the tips you gave me on what’s on sale what’s good this week etc. etc. may you rest in God‘s everlasting peace. Amen.

My deepest condolences to Richard’s family and friends.  Richard was my coworker and friend during my time at Zuppardos, forty four years ago.  Richard was one of the nicest persons that I have met.  Always smiling and always willing to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  His presence will be especially missed by all his customer friends at Zuppardos.

I am so sorry for loss of your brother and uncle and friend! I am sad and shocked to find out about his passing 😞.  My prayers and thoughts are with yous.  I know him working at Zuppardo for a long time and we are not friends, but he was so nice to help me and my sister putting groceries in cars.  Very sad! Rest In Peace Richard! Fly high!

Our deepest condolences.   We had the opportunity to meet Ricky a few years back through a very good friend of mine.  He definitely was the it at Zuppardos.  A very good and kind person.  God bless him.  We will miss you.  Tom and Gigi George.

I hired Richard over 44 years ago. Hard to imagine going to Zuppardos and not seeing my FRIEND. We have shared soooo many good times and weathered soooo many tough times together.  Fish loved what he did, and his customers LOVED him. Its hard to write thru these tears, but Fish you meant so much to all of us and will live in my heart forever.

I know Fish for many many  years.  Always smiling, helpful.    He was such a nice person.   It will  not be the same without my  friend helping me to the car with my groceries and having a little chat.  Rest in Peace Fish.  I'll miss you!

Rest in peace my friend. You are gonna be missed. Keep smiling up there. Zuppardo's won't be the same not seeing you there.

Dear Sweet Kind Richard.  You will be greatly missed but fondly remembered my friend.

My family will miss him. JoAnne worked with him 36 years and Daughters grew up with him around. I worked for him often. Always sad to lose a friend 😞

I'm so saddened about the passing of my good friend, Fish!  What a loss!  He was such a joy to be with and share stories with as he helped me every time I visited Zuppardo's.  Such a good, kind man.  I will miss him tremendously.

His smiling face and helpful nature will be missed.

Going to Zuppardo's will never be the same not seeing fish at the store. He always had a smile on his face and was very kind.

Going to Zuppardos will never be the same without his smiling face there! RIP my friend.

Wow I just found out fish passed  away. We went to school together  and I use to  see him very often.  A great friend  I will miss him RIP my friend
