

Beloved husband of Deanna Wheat Parke. Loving father of Jessica Marie and Justin Dewey Parke. Son of Bettie Cross Bryson and Norman Edward Parke Sr. Step-son of Bernice Sordelet Parke. Son-in-law of Janet Wheat and the late Jerry Wheat. Brother of Norman Edward Parke Jr. Brother-in-law of Shirle Rickman Parke and the late Dennis Wheat. Step-brother of Carl Sordelet and Gwen Murphy. Step-brother-in-law of the late Doug Murphy. Uncle of Alyssa and Candace Parke. Great-uncle of Kamryn Leigh Penalber. Also survived by other relatives, friends, and his beloved pets.
Mr. Parke was employed by Johnstone Supply of New Orleans for 12 years, a member of the Beer Hounds Hunting Club, Sportsbeat Golf Club, an avid New Orleans Saints Fan and season ticket holder of section 641, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Rick was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a lifelong resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 46 years.
Relatives and friends of the family, also staff, and faculty of Haynes Academy and all other Jefferson Parish Public Schools are invited to attend the Memorial Services from St. Matthew United Methodist Church 6017 Camphor St. Metairie, on Saturday afternoon September 11, 2010, at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jessica M. Parke and Justin D. Parke Memorial Scholarship Fund at any Branch of Capital One Bank.
A continued celebration of Mr. Parke’s life will be held at Colonial Country Club 42 Colonial Club Dr. Harahan, Louisiana at 3:30 p.m.
