

Robert (Bob) Paul Clark, II, aged 89 years, departed this life peacefully on June 25, 2018. He was a native of Memphis, TN, born March 25, 1929 and a resident of Metairie, LA for the past 55 years. He is now in eternal rest with all of his loved ones who preceded him.
Bob leaves behind a wonderful legacy. He is survived by his loving family, son George Clinton (Clint) Clark (Marshall), his daughters, Patricia (Patti) Clark Karl (Michael, Sr.) and Paula Touchstone Szubinski (Roland). Bob was especially blessed with five grandchildren, Kristopher Paul Touchstone (Shanna), Staci Touchstone Duvic (Andy), Taralyn Karl Silvio (George), Michael Karl Jr., and Henry Kitt Clark; and five great- grandchildren, Reagan, Savannah and Kylie Touchstone , Cade Duvic, and Chloe Silvio.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years and mother of his children, Henrietta Schmidt Clark, his second wife Mary Kay Bourikas, his father George Creston Clark, his mother Gladys Artson Clark and his 4 siblings, Juanita, William, George and Lynda.
Bob was the proprietor of the former Coco’s Gulf Service Station in New Orleans, at 1923 St. Charles Avenue for 25 years, previously run by his father-in-law, S.P. (Joe) Coco.
He was a long standing active member (48 years) of the Touchdown Club of New Orleans. He also loved to read and share New Orleans' food/restaurant critic reviews with family and friends.
Bob was a passionate man, a good provider, a protector and a man of great strength. He was a loving and beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather (Grump), great-grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
No service is planned at present; a celebration of his life will be held in the fall.
