

On December 26, 2012, our beloved family leader, Robert Matthew Dick, completed his earthly journey at the age of 85. Born on August 19, 1927 in New Orleans, LA, he grew up in the Irish Channel. He attended S.J. Peters High School and LSU. He served in the U.S. Army as a member of the Occupational Forces in Japan. He spent his career with Anaconda and Houston Wire. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Joycelyn G. Dick; his two sons, Robert M. Dick, Jr. and Lawrence A. Dick; his parents, Oswald and Ellen Dick; his brother, Matthew Dick; his two sisters, Marian LaRosa and Anna Bertirotti and his granddaughter, Kellie Dick. He is survived by his daughters, Karen DiZinno and Jeanne Pilgrim; his sons-in-law, David DiZinno and Mark Pilgrim; his daughters in-law, Elaine Dick and Lisa Dick; grandchildren, Tish Boudreaux (Rodney) , Paul Walker, John DiZinno (Amanda), Christine Dick, Eric DiZinno (Erin), Jenny St. Pierre (Paul), Matthew Dick (Julie), Lori DiZinno, Christopher Dick, Gregory Dick and great-grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Boudreaux, Julia and Meredith Galliano, Hayden, Anna, Sophie and Liam DiZinno, Emery Dick, and his dear sister, Grace Scavo. His example of a life devoted to our Catholic faith, his endless love, and his wonderful wit and humor were his gifts to us. We love you, Moose!
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Philip Neri Church, 6500 Kawanee Avenue in Metairie, LA on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
