Robert Thomas Robinette Jr.

Robert Thomas Robinette, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022. He was a native of Atlanta, GA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Mary Ann Daroca Robinette. Father of Mary Ann Morris (Ernie), Robert T. Robinette, III (Lori), Darlene Ann DiVincent (Vincent), Randy M. Robinette, Brittany Elizabeth Todd and the late Dolly Ann Robinette Todd. Son of the late Robert T. Robinette, Sr. and Ruby Lee Euna Pearson Robinette. Brother of the late Marvin Robinette and Peggy Ann Green (Oscar). Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and also nieces and nephews. Mr. Robinette worked at Chateau Motor Hotel for 45 years and had also worked at the Roosevelt Hotel on Canal Street. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany at one point during his service. He was a parishioner of Divine Marcy Church in Kenner, LA. He bowled at Pelican Lanes in Metairie for numerous years. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Saints, going to the horse races, playing the lottery and trips to the Casino. Mr. Robinette was an excellent husband, father and grandfather and he will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday morning, December 30, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
