He is survived by his stepchildren, Maria Diaz (Manuel), Ana Diaz (Dan) and Ernest Ramirez; his step grandchildren, Melissa (Tim), Jorge (Ashleigh), Anthony (Chelsea), Daniel (Trisha), Christopher, Amanda (Chris) and Alex; his step great grandchildren, Ava, Preston, Nathan, Addison, Carmine, Colston, Jack, Aiden, Austen, Aria, Tristan, Lilah and Edith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam C. Chi; his mother, Catalina Salas, his maternal grandmother, Quintina Carmenate and his step great grandchild Gavin.
Mr. Chi was a very loving, down-to-earth soul. He enjoyed Cuban Cuisine and sweets, especially Oreo Cookies but most of all he loved his family and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
A private Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Interment will be private in Metairie Cemetery.
