We are so sorry Rodney passed away it has been great to have kept in touch with him the last couple of years.   Duke was glad to have his morning chats with his brother ,Love from his Kansas family

My deepest condolences to the Guggenheim family for the loss of Mr. Rodney.  I will miss them many times that he help me understand small engine repair and will always cherish our many talks  of hog and deer hunting adventures. I am so sorry for your loss. The community in Hall has lost a very special individual.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Rodney passing, I have not seen him in a while but I still remember the way he would laugh watching Collin who would act just like John Cena doing wrestling moves in a wrestling ring that he built for him in his back yard.  Mr Rodney and family was there for my family in times of need and I never forgot that.

We are so sad to hear about Mr. Rodney. He was a kind person who would do anything he could to help you. Anytime I called to get help fixing something that just broke he never hesitated to say come on over now and drop it off to me. I'll take care of it. 
I think he could fix just about anything. He was always smiling and laughing when I came over, always making time to chat with me no matter how busy he was. That's the kind of person he was, always wanting to help others.
The world has lost a sweet and caring person. Our thoughts and prayers are with ya'll.  May Mr. Rodney rest in peace.

I am honored to have had a longtime friendship and fellowship with the Guggihiem family over many years. Rodney & Sharon have always been family to me. We had many life experiences to share and reflect on over many years. He and I could never do enough for each other within our abilities.
Rodney and Sharon both worked with and for me when I needed it most. I thank them both for being my true friends during the 36 plus years of our close relationship. I'll truly miss your presents in my life. With remorse I say rest in peace.

Prayers for the Guggenheim family. I enjoyed stopping by his little shop to see what he was tinkering with. He could get anything running that he worked on.  He always told it like it was whether you liked it or not. He was quite a character that was very interesting to have a conversation with. He will be missed dearly.

"Uncle Rodney", that's what I called him. Since junior high school. He was my second dad.  We had so many good times together I don't even know where to begin. I remember back in college I came in town from Kansas and my dad was out of town and I was having vehicle trouble and uncle Rodney got me going again. That's just the tip of the iceberg. So many fishing trips. We used to fish the Wednesday night tournaments at Bayou Segnette and he lipped the biggest bass I ever caught.  What a great man! You will be missed.

Our most sincerest condolences go out to Mrs. Sharon and the entire Guggenheim family.  Mr. Rodney was truly an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He could fix any machine that you put oil or gas in, it didn’t even need a steering wheel.  I would always ask him, “is there anything that you can’t fix” he would give me that smirk/smile full of confidence.  Truly a great man that will be missed by all.  Our prayers are with Mrs. Sharon and the entire family.  Rest in peace Mr. Rodney Guggenheim. We will all miss you greatly.  It was truly a pleasure growing up with you son and having you around!

Mr. Rodney impressed me with his ability to fix anything I brought him. What was more impressive was his honesty in telling me,  “I’m not fixing that you are”, when it was something he could tell me how to fix rather than make money off of me paying him.   I always appreciated that he would take time to speak with my son when he was with me. He will be greatly missed, but I already see his legacy live on in the manner both his son Rodney and his grandson Collin conduct themselves.

May the fond, precious memories of Mr Phil comfort you during this time. What a legacy he left this earth by way of your beautiful family.

Mr. Rodney was a wonderful person inside and out.  Anytime I needed assistance with a piece of equipment Mr. Rodney did not hesitate to help a friend out.  
On many occasions I would pass by just to see if the garage door was open so him and I could just shoot the breeze.  Mr. Rodney will be missed by many.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. I’ve had the privilege of knowing the Guggenheim family since I played with Rodney at John Curtis and have remained close friends ever since. I’ll always remember Mr Rodney was a guy that could fix anything and always make you laugh with some kind of wise crack. He was funny. He will be missed by all that knew him.

I’m so saddened, we losing a great one.
I’ve came to have the privilege to become 
a friend to Mr. Rodney through his son and daughter in law which had been my neighbors.
I could call Mr. Rodney at anytime with any problem or questions I needed taken care of.
The answer was always no problem come on over.
So I would jump into my truck and would head over.
Then that would turn into a  two hour conversation 
about old times. Then I  always would say no rush, but not Mr Rodney, next day he was calling  it’s ready come pick it up. 
What a wonderful person we all going to miss.

Where to begin , I have nothing but the fondest of memories of Mr. Rodney.  I worked at NAPA in Kenner.  I'm happy Mr. Rodney choose our store to business.  No matter how bad my day would go sometimes, Mr. Rodney could walk in the store and with one singular calling of my name turn my day into sunshine and good times.  I am smiling as I write this just thinking about it.  
I was blessed just to know him from looking up parts for Mr. Rodney.  
I am so grateful to have known him and the joyful memories I have of him. 
May his memory continue to bless everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Rodney.

To Ms Sharon, we are deeply saddened hearing about the loss of Mr Rodney. He was such a great man and a joy to be around. From the hunting camp to the garage fixing things he will always be remembered. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of need.

I’m so sorry for the loss of such a great man Mr. Rodney was such a sweet man with that said my prayers go out to all family and friends who feel the impact from this loss of a man I looked up to as a extra grandpa and I do have to say he was my favorite! Gonna really miss that infectious laugh of his and that funny giggle when you really got him going. Really wish I could have one more time sitting and talking to him working on something while I was little just to sit and watch him do what he loved !   Not gonna be the same at the camp this hunting season without sitting by the fire and telling jokes with him and the kids who loved him so much and so much more cause he always brought the good Mac and cheese for my daughter! Definitely gonna miss him with all my heart  I hope peace comes to the family at this time knowing that he’s in a better place but  will forever cherish and the man who made us laugh and from all the good memories of such a great man !

Mr Rodney always brought a smile to my face even when we were talking about nothing. He was full of joy and I loved being around him because of that. I'm going to miss sitting around the camp and spending time talking about where we were going to sit that day to hunt, or him telling me about a giant buck he seen walking back from the hunting stand. He will be missed deeply. Prayers from our family to yours.

The Sisco family joins in celebrating the life of Mr Rodney Guggenheim. Mr Rodney was always good to me, and greeted me with a smile. Even when I was a child playing sports vs his son; he was friendly and smiled at me. I am a better person for knowing Mr Rodney, and the Guggenheim family through high school and even today. I believe that God had a real nice spot prepared for Mr Rodney when the Father finally called him home for eternity.

Going to miss you Mr. Rodney. Going to miss all the stories and jokes you would always tell us while sitting at the fireplace at the camp. Going to miss all the laughs we’ve shared over the years of knowing you. You we like a grandfather to my wife and I. Even when you weren’t in the best of health you would always find a way to lighten the mood and make a joke of it just to make everyone around feel better about the news. We will miss you dearly Mr. Rodney.

Mr Rodney was an old school no nonsense guy. Hard these days to find a guy like that.   I would bring things to him to fix just so I could hear a few good stories and hear his views. Being real is what people talk about wanting to be. Mr Rodney didn’t have to say he was real. He just was.  Glad I met him and got to know him.  He was a good solid man in my book. Bill Hubbard

I am so sorry for the loss of sweet Mr. Rodney. He was a light in every room he entered, always greeting everyone with a smile. He helped whenever and however he could, fixing things, giving advice, and not asking for anything in return. Everytime we use our generator, fix a dirtbike, or anything other little thing; I will undoubtedly think of him. My kids will also miss picking through the boxes of snacks he'd leave behind. I'll miss seeing him sitting in the corner chair at the shop, his little truck outside the front door. 

His heart was big and he spread joy wherever he went; he was so proud of his family and made sure to speak on that often. He felt like family to all of us. Our world could use more men like Mr, Rodney. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Loved seeing and talking to Mr G wether it was at the fishing pier or the star gas station. He would always say you still at that concentration camp. I would laugh. And one thing about him he spoke his mind. He will be missed. Prayers for yall

We would like share our condolences to the family! Mr. Rodney was a joy to be around. Over the years his son Rodney Jr. and I have been very close friends. Sharing time with Mr. Rodney was a cherished experience and he was always good for many laughs. We pray for the family at this time and that God may watch over all of them.  We will never forget the memories of him and hold them close to our heart.

If I could describe someone with a hard shell, but the biggest heart, it would be Mr. Phil. 

My time with him was short, but it was a blessing. He would do anything in the world for you but you were definitely going to hear about it! He was the best handyman, he could literally fix anything. When we dropped parts off to him, there was always a slew of trucks, wanting to give him their business.

He will be missed, but I know he will never be forgotten.
