Roger and memory of him is unforgettable. His laugh and walk are recorded on our memories by me and others. His heartfelt love of family and undenying commitment to God's laws and striving for excellence in all things are engraved in our hearts and mind.  No time or place will allow him to be forgotten.

My name is Chito Martinez. I knew Roger for a few years at the young age of 10 years old. We were on the same team at Mike Miley. It was my first year playing baseball. Mr. Champagne taught me how to hit. Although we only played baseball on the same team for a few short years. We did play against each other in high school. I went to Brother Martin and Roger went to John Curtis. I still remember those times we played against each other and played on the same team. Roger was a fiery player that played with a lot of heart. As the years passed I am saddened to hear of his passing. I was fortunate to have played professional baseball. But what I remember about Roger was his grit never to quit and to pursue life to the fullest. My prayers to his family and I know he is in his glory with the Father. Roger Thank you for your families kindness to me.

Prayers for Roger's family and all those who worked with him at Laitram.  Roger was full of positive energy, big smiles, always willing to give words of encouragement and advice.  He made his mark and will be celebrated often.  Bless you Roger!

I started at Intralox about a year after Roger and for my entire 12 years there, he was a constant mentor and friend. A wonderful listener, a voice of reason,  patient, always with a smile and an open door.  I have so many wonderful memories of lunches, after work drinks, chats about any and everything, and hard working but fun business trips with him. I am so very saddened by his passing. He was one of the good guys. Gone too soon. May his soul Rest In Peace and perpetual light shine upon him. It so rare to find a person like Roger... who possessed such incredible vision yet also demonstrated the kindness and compassion needed to lead others on the journey.  I'm so thankful for your time with us.  Rest in peace.

I met Roger shortly after I started at Intralox 15 years ago. Throughout the years, no matter the subject matter, Roger always had great ideas to contribute to any discussion. He also had a positive and kind presence. He will be greatly missed.  Heartfelt condolences to Doug and the entire family.

Every person who knew Roger knows how great he was.  He was a great mentor and a real leader. He never hesitated to share his knowledge or give the best advice. He inspired me and motivated me to reach new goals and to go beyond  the limits of my imagination. I gained so much knowledge and many of the acomplishments I have made over the years were somehow the result of following Roger's advice.  We reconnected on LinkedIn just a week before his passing.  My wife Analisa and I will remember his voice, his smile, his proffessionalism and his sense of humor. Roger may not be physically here with us anymore, but his memory will live forever in our hearts.  Thank you Roger! You will be missed and I hope I get to see you again one day.  :-(

I feel honored to have crossed paths with Roger. He was my first professional mentor well before I started my career with Laitram and Intralox.  Although he hired me, I never reported directly to him.  That never stopped him from leaving the door (or his calendar) open to  schedule lunch or  chats. I miss our chats and it's already been too long since we've had one.  I don't know Laitram without Roger and I don't know work without Roger's challenges to my work. It may sound silly, but what I'll miss the most is watching him think. He was a good thinker, a great listener, and a tremendous influence to my life and career.  

Rest well, friend. You are sorely missed.

Sometimes the best are taken from us too soon.  Roger is most certainly one of them.  Rest easy bro, knowing that you live on in the hearts and memories of all of your friends at Laitram and the many others whose lives you have touched in such a positive way.

Roger was a mentor to me and many.  He was one of the most incredible, kind, hardworking, intelligent, unassuming, humble, and faithful men I have ever met.... he loved his family, friends, work family, his job, Laitram and everything it stands for....  
I will never forget his smile, as he walked passed by my office for meetings, his encouraging words for progress and development of better character, life, spirituality and one's self...Roger was never afraid or too busy to share. What a tremendous loss for anyone who knew him!  He was an energetic, knowledgeable, and very creative person whose easy manner was great to work with and for. Even though I haven't worked with him in some time, I remember that his opinion mattered, his friendship was a blessing, and his encouragement was valued. 
Roger, I know that you are walking with Jesus now, but you will be missed here.

I'm so sorry and sad for our Intralox family & team members loss, of a very wonderful person.    He was a warm face to me and we learned about each other, when he was LID in 2001 and I was new with Intalox spirals.   I pray the family finds peace in each other and friends as they go through the healing process.   


I am deeply saddened by the loss of Roger. He interviewed me 15th years ago when I joined Intralox and was a pleasure to meet him when he was coming to Europe. He will be truly missed and I will include him in my prayers.
