Rosa Melida Maldonado

Rosa Melida Maldonado passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, December 10, 2017. She was 80 years old. Loving mother of Livia Turcios (Carlos) and Carlos Roberto Cubas. Grandmother of Monica Turcios, Carlos Turcios Jr., Carlos Roberto Cubas Jr., and Christian Cubas. Sister of Carlos A Pena, Gregorio Maldonado, Jose Luis Maldonado, Pedro Antonio Maldonado, Juana Maldonado Rios, Eduardo Orellana. Daughter of the late Angelina Maldonado and Felix Orellana. Former spouse of Raul Cubas. Rosa was a native of Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras and has been a resident of the New Orleans area for over 40 years. She was a devout Catholic and regularly worshiped the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a very selfless person and spent the majority of her life caring and loving for her family. Rosa will be dearly missed by many. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital are preferred. Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2017 at 4:00.
