Rose "Helen" Stephens Weaver

Rose “Helen” Stephens Weaver, age 83, died on Saturday, January 11, 2014 after a 19 year battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Helen loved her family and loved to cook. She was born February 4, 1930 in Laurel, MS. She was a resident of River Ridge for the past 56 years and she was a former employee of Ochsner Clinic. Beloved wife of 65 years to Paul Henry Weaver. Loving mother of Paul Weaver, Jr. (Patty), Ginger Moskau (Michael), Ann Phelps (Asia Baker) and Becky Coker (Kent). Grandmother of Christy Moskau Hudson (Jason), Andrew Moskau, Emily Moskau and Colin Coker. Daughter of the late Edith Virginia Stone Stephens Knight and Irvin H. Stephens.

The family appreciates all the care Helen received from Ochsner Medical Center and River Regions Hospice.

Relatives, friends and members of Riverside Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Harahan, Rio Vista Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Kenner, the Vineyard Church of New Orleans and St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM. A Funeral Service will also take place at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 3100 Audubon Drive, Laurel, MS 39440, (601)428-5235 on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Park Hills Cemetery, 2806 Emmy Drive, Laurel, MS 39440.
