Santa Rosa Imbraguglio Bourgeois died on November 13, 2018, at the age of 94. Santa was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Leander J. Bourgeois; her parents, Lillian and Peter Imbraguglio; her dear aunt and uncle, Rosa and Anthony Forestiere; sister, Dorothy Laitinen; and son-in-law, Howard Marcotte, Jr. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandra Lee Marcotte and Leander J. Bourgeois, Jr. (Cheryl). Known by “Granny” or “Gree” to her five grandchildren, Howard Marcotte III, Brian Marcotte, Andrea Marcotte, Stephanie Baker (Gavin) and Cherie Stouder (Chad); and nine great grandchildren, Kate Baker, Samantha Baker, Molly Baker, Ella Baker, Sophia Marcotte, Eloise Marcotte, Rucker Marcotte, Connor Stouder and Cole Stouder. Also survived by her siblings, June Rose Lauterbach and Anthony Imbraguglio. A native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie, Santa was a proud graduate of Ursuline Academy and parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church. She was deeply committed to her family and treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her love of playing cards, praying novenas, devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and hosting family nights. The family wishes to express special thanks to the many friends and staff at Chateau De Notre Dame and Passages Hospice for their attentive care.
