

Sharon Ann Hannan Sciavicco peacefully passed on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph Hannan, Jr. and Estelle “Sissy” O’Brien Hannan. Beloved wife of Michael Angelo Sciavicco for 41 years. Mother of Michelle Ann Sciavicco and Michael John Sciavicco. Sister of Gail H. Noel (Robert) and Bonnie H. Bourgeois (the late Ronald, Sr.). Also survived by Joy G. Costantini (Michael), nieces and nephews, Monique N. LeCompte (Brian), Robin Noel (Scott Davis), Ronald Bourgeois, Jr. (Elizabeth), Mary N. Olivio (Clint), Jeanne Bourgeois, Christopher Costantini, Merrin Costantini, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. The Sciavicco family extends a special thank you to long-time family friend, Catherine Gross Hickham (Michael). “Shay-Shay’s” exceptional love will always be remembered by Victoria Chang and Matthew Hickham. A native New Orleanian, born in the Irish Channel, Sharon attended St. Alphonsus School, and was a 1966 graduate of Redemptorist Boys and Girls High School. She earned her B.S. in Merchandising from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1970. She was a long time employee of South Central Bell. For the past 35 years, alongside her husband, Sharon owned and operated Mike’s Train & Hobby Shop in Kenner. Sharon will be remembered as a lady who loved life and was always ready to pass a good time with family and friends. The Sciavicco family would like to thank the staff of The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006 on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Shrine of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos.
