Sidney Joseph Anderson, 92 passed away Friday, March 4, 2022.

Born on February 16, 1930, Sidney was the third child of five, and the last surviving child of James Anderson and Thelma Reese Anderson.

Sidney was a lifetime resident of New Orleans, LA. After high school graduation, he served in the U.S. Army on a four- year tour which took him to Korea. After which he was honorably discharged. Sidney worked for the Defense Department at the Port of Embarkation and retired after 36 years of service.

If you knew Sidney, you knew that he was a jazz enthusiast! You could hear his music from miles around.

Sidney will be dearly missed by his surviving family; loving wife of 69 years, Ada, his daughter Cheryl, grandson Marvas McCladdie, son-in-law Darrell Duplessis and a host of family and friends.

Private interment will be at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA. The online guest book is available at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
